海峡水产品交易中心按业态共分为活鲜、冰鲜、贝类、冻品、淡水、海蜇、毛蟹、名成集鲜等八个交易区，总建筑面积35万平方米，市场入驻有海内外商户1000余家，业务范围遍及全国各地以及东盟各国、澳大利亚、美国、西非等国家,年交易额达300亿元以上，是全国最具规模的水产品交易市场及远洋渔业集散地。
